What Is Exposure Bracketing?

This technique allows photographers to blend the shots in their post-processing software of choice to ensure that all areas of the photograph are correctly exposed. High-contrast scenes often overcome modern sensors, making exposure bracketing crucial for creating the perfect look.
The technique involves taking three shots – one underexposed, one at what is considered the correct exposure, and one overexposed. After blending the images together you increase the dynamic range to create one perfect shot. This can significantly reduce the chances of pushing the shadows or highlights too far in post, making for a much cleaner finished image.
